Cool Saturdays Summer Special

Final Cool Saturday of the year!
October 1, 9am – 4pm
Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under

First Saturday of the month July through October.  Visitors can explore the whimsical house where fish sculptures rise in the air, shells have their own museum and shady nature trails invite you to search for playful monkeys in the trees and majestic swans in the fresh water lakes.

Cruisin’ Down the River

Bonnet House Museum & Gardens presents Cruisin’ Down the River: Prohibition Era – The History of Fort Lauderdale’s Rum Runners. Guests attending Bonnet House’s “Cruisin’ Down The River” program will travel the New River in style. Experience a boat ride aboard the famous “Carrie B” paddlewheel boat to learn about the fascinating history of Fort Lauderdale’s legendary rum runners. Featured speaker will be Stephen Draft, former Bonnet House curator, and exciting live music by the Gold Coast Banjo Band. Enjoy A Boat Ride down the New River on the historic Carrie B Paddlewheel boat.  Hear whimsical tales about the history of Fort Lauderdale’s New River.

Specialty Tours

Orchid Greenhouse Tours
  Offered the second Tuesday of each month from 11am – 12pm $20 per person

Our greenhouses and display house hold approximately 1,200 plants in various stages of development. Our Bonnet House Orchid Curator will show you around our greenhouses and discuss how our orchids are bred and cultivated (including our impressive seedling program).  A treat for orchid enthusiasts and novices! This tour is offered in groups of 15 to allow for questions and discussion. Limited reservations available, pre-registration is required.

Behind the Scenes Tours
Offered the second and fourth Wednesday of each month December – April from 2pm – 3pm
$20 per person
(Does not include main house tour)

Visitors will participate in a VIP experience at Bonnet House Museum & Gardens.  Take a sneak peek inside normally-closed areas of Evelyn and Frederic Bartlett’s private living quarters. Tours are led by our seasoned Bonnet House docents and will be offered for only $20 per person. Visitors will enjoy rooms not seen on our other tours. This tour is offered in groups of 10 to allow for questions and discussion. Limited reservations available, pre-registration required.

Please note, the ability to climb stairs is necessary to fully participate in the tour. A video presentation at ground level will accommodate those guests unable to climb stairs.

Concerts Under the Stars

Presented by The Haller Foundation
Enjoy live performances on the beautiful Bonnet House Veranda with complimentary wine, cookies and coffee. These magical evenings take place once a month on Thursday evenings January through April.

Making New Impressions: A Juried Art Exhibit

Making New Impressions is a juried art competition, art sale and cocktail party. All of the art work selected for the competition is for sale and 50% of the proceeds benefit Bonnet House and its education programs.
Lavish opening reception Thursday, March 9, 2017, 6pm.
Exhibition runs through April 30, 2017.
