Concerts Under the Stars
Enjoy live performances on the beautiful Bonnet House Veranda with complimentary wine, dessert and coffee. These magical evenings take place once a month on Thursday evenings January through April.

Bonnet House Earth Day

Bonnet House Museum & Gardens will be hosting a special celebration on Earth Day this year, April 26th from 9am – 4pm (last tour begins at 3:30pm). Enjoy Native American storytelling with Zen WhiteCloud and a live animal presentation with two birds of prey by Everett Osceola and Rey Becerra. The day’s activities also include two performances by the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra with old family favorites, a sing-a-long with Chris Bigney, Birch State Park conservation efforts lecture and food that will delight all your senses from Flour Power Food Truck.

9:15am & 11am – Sing-A-Long and Stories with Chris
10am & 11:30am – Gold Coast Youth Orchestra
1pm & 2:30pm – Live “Birds of Prey” Presentation
12:15pm & 3:30pm – Native American storytelling with Siouxzen WhiteCloud

Cruising Down the River

Join us for a cruise down the New River on the beautiful Anticipation yacht and hear about the past, present and future of Fort Lauderdale’s New River. Featured speakers include educator and historian Bill Sydnor, Everett Osceola from the Seminole Tribe of Florida and Fort Lauderdale Mayor Jack Seiler.

Impressions: A Juried Art Exhibit

Impressions is an annual juried art competition with fine food, fine wines and fine friends amid the Old Florida Charm of Bonnet House. All of the art work selected for the competition is for sale and 50% of the proceeds benefit Bonnet House. Exhibition runs through May 4, 2014.

Bonnet House Alliance Events

Bonnet House Alliance is a group that volunteers & presents fundraising events for Bonnet House. Luncheons & periodic meetings provide camaraderie and a way to get personally involved. You may join the Alliance for free with a paid membership at any level.

Special Programs

Girl Scouts Workshops
Bonnet House is offering five art workshops on Saturday, April 5, 2014.
Each workshop will complete the requirements for the activity, and will include all art supplies as well as a tour of the historic house and art collections.
There is ample free parking.

New Specialty Tours Added

Behind the Scenes & Orchid Greenhouse Tours

Behind the Scenes Tours
Offered the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 2pm – 3pm
$20 per person (Does not include main house tour)

Visitors will participate in a VIP experience at Bonnet House Museum & Gardens.  Take a sneak peek inside normally-closed areas of Evelyn and Frederic Bartlett’s private living quarters. Tours are led by our seasoned Bonnet House docents and will be offered for only $20 per person. Visitors will enjoy rooms not seen on our other tours. This tour is offered in groups of 10 to allow for questions and discussion. Limited reservations available, pre-registration required.

Please note, the ability to climb stairs is necessary to fully participate in the tour. A video presentation at ground level will accommodate those guests unable to climb stairs.

Orchid Greenhouse Tours
Offered the second Tuesday of each month from 11am – 12pm
$20 per person

Our greenhouses and display house hold approximately 1,200 plants in various stages of development. Our Bonnet House Orchid Curator will show you around our greenhouses and discuss how our orchids are bred and cultivated (including our impressive seedling program).  A treat for orchid enthusiasts and novices! Orchid seedlings will be available for purchase. This tour is offered in groups of 15 to allow for questions and discussion. Limited reservations available, pre-registration is required.
