Bonnet House needs your help and support

Bonnet House Museum & Gardens has been selected to participate in the launch of power2give.org – a crowd-funding website that allows the arts community to fundraise online. Coordinated by Business for the Arts of Broward, we are able to fundraise for a specific project within a 90 day period. Plus, with the added incentive that the project will be matched dollar for dollar by the Knight Foundation.

Please take a moment and check out our first project: Windows to Learning. Our goal is to install weather proof windows in our Island Theater where educational programs are held. We have already replaced the building’s thatched roof with a durable cedar shake roof now we are seeking funds to install seven hurricane windows. The addition of weather proof windows will allow the structure to be used in the warmer summer months for classes and will also pave the way for summer youth camps.

The total project cost is $7,280 and we know we can meet this goal before the 90 days are up – especially with the generous matching gift from the Knight Foundation.  Help us reach our goal and offer our youth windows to learning!

Bonnet House Museum & Gardens is the unique legacy of Frederic and Evelyn Barlett. This whimsical estate located on 35 acres between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway preserves the home of these two American artists. It offers a glimpse into their life style and the world of art and Florida in the early 20th Century.

Help us maintain their legacy for now and years to come. Your tax deductible contribution will go toward the mainteinance and operations of Bonnet House Museum & Gardens.
