DESCRIPTION:In Partnership with the Museum of Discovery Science and Broward Museum Alliance – Xavier Riddle Collaborative \nJoin Xavier and travel back to 1885 to retrace the steps of the Barefoot Mailman’s postal delivery service through the historic Bonnet House hardwood hammock. Locate the House of Refuge then snap your Photo with Xavier. A special prize will be waiting when you’re done! \nJoin us on Saturday\, January 18th for family-friendly activities like Native Plant leaf rubbings and an activity called “What did the Barefoot Mailman See?” To deliver mail\, he traveled 80 miles by foot and 56 by boat to complete the 136-mile round trip between Jupiter and Miami. \nFood Trucks will also be on site. This family-friendly event is open to the public\, and food purchases are separate. \nCost: Included with general admission. \nRegister Here!

DESCRIPTION:We could not be more thrilled to announce our first-ever outdoor sculpture exhibit! Starting in January\, we will be welcoming FOREST FORMS in its debut to South Florida. \nIn this unique exhibition\, artist Huelani Mei brings her visions to life through impressive works that include a fox family\, flowers\, rabbits\, a snake archway\, a peacock and more. These stunning larger-than-life metal sculptures of flowers and animals will be placed throughout the winding nature trails on the vast Bonnet House estate. \nTo kick off this exciting exhibit\, we will be hosting a Forest Forums Food Truck Kick-Off Event that is open to the public on Saturday\, January 18th from 11am to 4pm! Guests can enjoy the new exhibit while munching on delicious local faire from a variety of popular food trucks.
