2022 Summer Family Special At Bonnet House

It may be hard to believe, but summer is right around the corner! If you’re like many others, you’re probably starting to think about fun things to do this summer. Whether you’re planning activities for your kids, your friends, or even just for yourself, Bonnet House is the perfect place to explore this summer.

Our 35-acre estate contains a Main House which features a whimsical collection of decorative and fine art, as well as a nature trail that is perfectly suited for families. While visiting, you are more than welcome to enjoy walking a one-way route around the beautiful Main House and taking a self-guided tour through our expansive gardens. To give our guests an optimal experience, we have developed audio recordings that can be accessed from mobile devices as you walk through our estate. This artful and educational audio tour features information about each room, significant items from the collection, and the families responsible for the estate’s creation.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all the great things you can see and do at Bonnet House Museum & Gardens. Beginning on June 1st and lasting through September 4th, Bonnet House will be hosting our annual Family Summer Special. This special deal includes $20.00 admission rates for adults and free admission for anyone 17 and under. This is the perfect opportunity for you and your family to experience what life was like on a beachfront estate in the 1930s and 1940s while learning about the historic and ecological significance of the property.

The Family Summer Special is available Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and tickets can be purchased at the Welcome Center. To learn more about the Family Summer Special, click here.

Bonnet House’s 4th of July Special

Summer is in full swing here in South Florida, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for the exciting summer events and specials that we have planned here at Bonnet House Museum & Gardens. This year, we have many exciting opportunities available for our guests to stay cool, while exploring our historic property and vast gardens. This 4th of July is just one of the days on which we will be offering discounted admission rates for adults and kids alike.

Here in Fort Lauderdale, the summer heat and humidity can be almost unbearable at times. But at Bonnet House, we do our best to ensure that our guests can stay cool and comfortable as they explore the air-conditioned Main House, and walk along our shady nature trails. Not only is Bonnet House a great place to stay cool, but it is also a great place to take your family and loved ones for a fun and educational experience.

This 4th of July, Bonnet House will be offering $10.00 admission for adults, and free admission for children 12 and under from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door upon
your entry. Join us for this special holiday celebration, and get a first-hand glimpse of the unique history of Fort Lauderdale, and our South Florida Community.

Bonnet House Announces South Florida Adventure Pass

For the third year in a row, five local attractions have joined together to offer the ‘South Florida Adventure Pass!’ For one low price ($45 for adults and $35 for children), locals and tourists can enjoy unlimited admission to Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, Flamingo Gardens, Young At Art Museum, Sawgrass Recreation Park, and Xtreme Action Park!

If you enjoy history and nature, Bonnet House Museum & Gardens is a must-see attraction featured on the South Florida Adventure Pass. On 35 acres of pristine barrier island habitat, this plantation-style house remains much as it was in the 1930s and 1940s when Frederic and Evelyn created the unique blend of art and whimsy that so delights visitors today!
