B onnet House, Inc. (Bonnet House) is committed to protecting the privacy of those who visit the Bonnet House website (www.bonnethouse.org), and its affiliated websites.

We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail or those who otherwise knowingly provide us with their name and/or email address, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, and information volunteered by the consumer (such as survey information and/or site registrations). The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web pages and the quality of our service and helps understand our audience, and that allows us to better meet the needs of website users.  The information is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes, except to provide products or services you’ve requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

Information We Collect and How We Use It

Bonnet House collects certain information from and about its users three ways: directly from our Web Server logs, the user, and with Cookies.

Information We Collect

This site collects personal information to operate the site and to deliver the services you request.  When you register for Bonnet House Services, including but not limited to membership purchases and renewals, program registrations, electronic newsletters and general inquiries we will request some personal information such as name and email address and may also request information about background, occupation, demographics, and/or interests. You may also voluntarily provide other information, such as your address, telephone number, and other relevant information. If you decide to purchase Bonnet House Service, we will request financial information. Any financial information we collect is used only to bill you for the services you purchased. If you purchase by credit card, this information may be forwarded to your credit card provider. For other types of registrations, we will ask for the relevant information. You may also be asked to disclose additional personal information to us so that we can provide assistance and information to you. For example, such data may be warranted in order to provide online technical support and troubleshooting.

We will not disclose personally identifiable information we collect from you to third parties without your permission except to the extent necessary including:

  • To fulfill your service requests for services.
  • To protect ourselves from liability,
  • To respond to legal process or comply with law, or
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or liquidation of the company.

Web Server Logs

When you visit our Website, we may track information to administer the site and analyze its usage. Examples of information we may track include: Your Internet protocol address, the kind of browser or computer you use, number of links you click within the site, state or country from which you accessed the site, date and time of your visit, name of your Internet service provider, web page you linked to our site from, pages you viewed on the site.

Use of Cookies

Bonnet House uses cookies to personalize or enhance your user experience. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a Web Server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

Bonnet House uses cookies to help you navigate Bonnet House Service as easily as possible, and to remember information about your current session. You must enable cookies on your web browser to use Bonnet House Service.

Disclosure

We will not sell, trade, or rent personal information.  We may compile aggregate statistics and provide them to third parties, but these statistics will not include information that identifies individual website users.  Bonnet House may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas, federal or state governmental policies as required by federal or state law, or when your actions violate the Terms of Service.

Accessing Your Web Account Information

We will provide you with the means to ensure that personally identifiable information in your web account file is correct and current. You may review this information by logging in to your account and clicking on the “Account” link in the upper-right hand corner of the web page.

Bonnet House has the discretion to occasionally update this privacy statement.  We may revise the policy in response to changes in the law or other factors. When we do, we will also revise the “updated” date at the top of this Privacy page. We encourage you to periodically review this privacy statement to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect.
