Curated Onsite Homeschool Programs

Bonnet House Mission Statement:

Celebrating the legacy of Frederic and Evelyn Bartlett, Bonnet House preserves a unique blend of art, history, and natural beauty—offering both inspiration and a place of peaceful reflection for all who visit.

Our curated Onsite Homeschool Programs allow parents and their children to experience this unique 35-acre natural environment and historic residence of American Artists Frederic and Evelyn Bartlett. Through guided and immersive experiences, students will discover the rich cultural, artistic, and ecological heritage of Bonnet House.

Walk the same pathways once traveled by the Birch and Bartlett families, while also encountering the deeper stories of those who came long before. Along our historical timeline, visitors learn about the Tequesta people, who inhabited these coastal lands from 2000 BC to 1700 AD, as well as the European explorers who first reached these shores in the early 1500s, followed by the pioneers who shaped early South Florida. In 1876, a House of Refuge was constructed on this very beach, providing shelter for shipwrecked sailors and the famed Barefoot Mailmen—further enriching the site’s remarkable and layered past.

Each session includes hands-on activities designed to deepen learning and spark curiosity. Students also receive thoughtfully prepared templates and worksheets to support continued exploration and to assist with year-end portfolio documentation.

Pre-Registration is required for each session. Non-transferrable or refundable.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
