Colored Pencil Drawing Class – “Intro to Colorful Bird” (This class is for intermediate and advanced students) Join award-winning artist and Bonnet House Instructor, Galal Ramadam, in our lovely air-conditioned Island Theater.
Sat., Mar. 9, 2024, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Students will learn how to:
– Creates feathers, crown, nape, wings and tail
– How to apply multiple colors in translucent layers
– Gain confidence in drawing bird portraits in colored pencil
– Understand the importance of values. Shading is an essential part of creating a
realistic bird drawing.
– Master how to “whisper” and “scream” with your colored pencils
– Draw realistic, expressive eyes with loads of depth
– Understand how to simplify without losing realism
The instructor will provide:
– Reference Photo
– Basic line drawing
– Colored pencil Stonehenge white paper
– Fixative for final

Galal Ramadan is an award-winning self-taught master colored pencil artist, art instructor and art therapy practitioner. His career had been in graphic design, marketing and business. He was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt and resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In the last five years he participated in over than 65 solo, national, and international exhibitions.
He received Signature Statuses (Certificates of Achievements): UKCPS and UKCPSO in Nov. 2022 , and CPSA in July 2023. His artwork has earned many awards and recognitions, and has been featured in several articles published in National Art Magazines. He does accept art commissions, fine art print (Giclee).
