Friday, November 18th, 2016 – 7pm to 10pm, Bonnet House Veranda
Our Third Annual Roaring 20’s Gala Fundraiser. Enjoy balmy ocean breezes on the Veranda for an evening of Gatsby Style fun!  Dress up in your best vintage attire for Cocktails and Hors d’oeuvres under the moonlight with live music, costume contest and Las Vegas Style entertainments.  $75 per person.

Our Signature Fundraiser. Join us for a Fabulous Luncheon on the Veranda as we celebrate Evelyn Bartlett’s passion for an exquisite table!  Local artists and designers as well as our own creative members showcase tablescapes that range from the whimsical to the elegant in this one of a kind event.  Reservations Required as seating is limited.  Tickets are $120 and $160.

Our annual meeting where we review the year’s business and elect the Alliance officers for the 2017-2018 season, all members are encouraged to attend and participate in this important organizational event.  Wine and Hors d’oeuvres buffet, free of charge, Membership Only.

Girl Scouts Workshops at Bonnet House

Bonnet House Museum and Gardens is offering five art workshops on Saturday, November 9, 2013 & April 5, 2014.  Each workshop will complete the requirements for the activity, and will include all art supplies as well as a tour of the historic house and art collections.  There is ample free parking.

BROWNIE LEVEL: Painting.  Time of Arrival:  9 am—12:30 pm
Brownies should wear, or bring, an “art shirt” because some of the paints will stain.  They will have a short break mid- morning for a snack.

JUNIOR LEVEL: Drawing.  Time of Arrival: 10 am—2:30 pm

CADETTE LEVEL: Book Artist. Time of Arrival: 9:30 am—2:00 pm

SENIOR LEVEL;  Collage.  Time of Arrival:  11:30 am— 3:30 pm

AMBASSADOR LEVEL: Photographer.  Time of arrival:  11:30 am—3:30 pm

FEES:  $14.00 per scout One leader/adult FREE for every 5 scouts      $7.00 Extra adults

Family Discount Days at Bonnet House

Family Fun Days at the Historic Bonnet House Museum & Gardens

1st and 3rd Saturday July through September from 10am – 4pm

 

Bonnet House Museum & Gardens is offering a day of fun for the entire family this summer with ½ price admission for adults and free admission for children 12 and under.  Families will have the opportunity to tour the historic house museum filled with a delightful collection of art and personal treasures from the Bartlett family as well as explore the nature trails filled with native plants, trees and an occasional monkey or swan all at a discounted rate. The Family Fun Days are scheduled for the first and third Saturday of each month July through September 2012 from 10am – 4pm with the last tour starting at 3:30pm. The specific dates are July 7 & 21, August 4 & 18 and September 1 & 15.

Discounted price breakdown is as follows:

Individuals – $10

Senior Citizens – $9

Children 12 & under – Free

Orchid Class

July 28 or 29, 2012 – Orchid Culture, Including Basic Repotting & Mounting Demonstrations
Demonstrations will be given on basic repotting of different types of orchids and mounting orchids on items such as tree fern, cork bark, grapevine or cypress.  Common questions like what size/type of pot or basket to use; what type of potting media is best; what do I use to attach an orchid to a mount and how to water after mounted will be addressed.

Aug 25 or 26, 2012 –  Orchid Culture, Including Advanced Repotting Demonstrations
Got an orchid climbing out of its pot and don’t know where to begin?  Let us show you how to tackle that monster!  Learn how often an orchid should be repotted, how to divide an orchid, about different potting medias and the proper type of pot or basket to use.
Orchid Classes for this weekend Saturday, August 25th and Sunday, August 26th have been cancelled due to hurricane preparations at Bonnet House.  The classes have been rescheduled for Saturday, September 1 & Sunday, September 2.  

Sept 22 or 23, 2012 –  Orchid Culture, Including Advanced Mounting Demonstrations
Students will learn how to mount orchids on tree fern, cork bark and grapevine and how to naturalize orchids in their landscaping.   Common questions like what orchids do best on mounts; what do I use to attach the orchid to the mount; how to water after they are mounted and what to do when an orchid starts to overgrow it’s mount will be addressed.

Broward Attractions and Museums Month (BAMM) kicks off June 1. Discover 16 local museums, unique attractions and cultural centers for the price of one membership.  During the month of June members of any one of the 16 cultural institutions in Broward County, and South Palm Beach County, receive free general admission to all participating venues.

Let the adventure begin.  Discover what awaits you right outside your door.  Each attraction or museum offers an experience for all ages.  Spend an evening enjoying a movie at Cinema Paradiso; discover some of Boca Raton’s History at the Boca Raton Historical Society; play and learn at The Boca Raton Children’s Museum; explore the historic house and grounds at Bonnet House Museum & Gardens; learn all about fish at IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame or trek out and celebrate Seminole Indian Traditions at Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum… and so much more.
